Hallucinogenic Wine

We returned to Athens for the night and spent the obligatory 2 ½ hours getting totally lost and following signs for both the airport (which incidentally is sign posted at practically every junction – unfortunately usually pointing the wrong way) and 'the Olympic stadium' (once again for our regular readers not to be confused with the other 'Olympic stadium'). Eventually we found the stadium and were grateful to be met by Simon who promptly announced that a beer was in order and took us of to a local Square were even Gav had a Stella or 2 (no Carling !!).

The night was once again spent at Simon and Debbie's flat (cheers guys). A big sorry too the surprised plumber who, in the morning,, found not only Debbie at home but a semi naked Gav and Dan reclining in the lounge.

The ferry crossing (Pireus- Chios) was a blast as we both got absolutely trollied on some nasty cheap Greek plonk that Dan had purchased. We both ended up sprawled around in a corridor, after wandering aimlessly around the ferry for an hour or so. Once again the team really do need to review their security procedures! We quite literally rolled off the ferry and parked up immediately for fear of not only failing a breathalyser but also possibly destroying it. We are taking the ferry to Turkey in the morning if this miraculously bad weather lifts.
